i do that from time to time, it is fun to have knowledge of obscure things, but at the same time it can get rather lonely...

Then get ideas from Neko or something. I'm always looking for new anime to rent.

Although, admittedly, it does get kind of lonely when you like a series no one else has heard of...

yeah, i do that often enough, still it'd be nice if it were a two way street in general, not just with Neko but with most of my friends and my brother it seems like i'm usually the one crossing the line for others to feel connected, i rarely can get others into series i like.

Thankfully the few friends I have are easily manipula-- I mean persuaded to like series I like. Of course, one of them is really hardcore and the other is new to anime, so...

But I do understand your frustration. The series my friends haven't seen I can't seem to get them into (Bri-Bri has this aversion to robot fighting, which is the only reason I haven't made her watch Gurren Lagann).

yeah, i mean no one has ever made me watch a bad series, all my brother's old anime he loves are entertaining, but i can never convince him to watch series i think are amazing, like Code Geass. that is one of the best anime i've seen in a long time, but he's too stubborn to watch it.

i got him to watch Gurren Lagann, but all that involved was telling him GAINAX made it, because he loves everything they make, i guess that sort of counts...

any of you guys going to animarathon? if you haven't heard of it, it's a one day free con down at bowling green universtiy in ohio (it's only like an hour away!) and i'm hoping to catch a ride down there with some of my friends, cuz it seems fun

I just might be able to make it this year...if not, I give up and am going to Matsuricon. Too bad my spring break is so weirdly timed...
