why not try coming to comic con? ^_^ (motor city comic con) its smaller and stuff so we're bound to run into each other. and its not as expensive as youma con <3

I forget if it's Acen or Anime North that runs at the same time as Comic con...We went to Acen last year, so...Oh, I forget.

Unfortunately, I can only go to so many cons a year, so while I would love to go to Comic Con I probably can't. Someday, though, someday...

i dont think you'll be missing to much gen, comic con is small and not even a full fledged anime con

Yeah, Acen is short for Anime Central. And it's not the concept of how large a con is to be enjoyable, it's whether they have skits or not. Okay, kidding, but the skits were the highlight of Youmacon.

i remember watching "DVD Dojo" on Anime Network and always hearing "Utah, California, New York, Maine." but never really here. so i'm happy there are so many that you can't even get to them all!

hopefully i'll have as much fun there as i've heard you guys all having.

Well, the biggest ones are in Boston (Otakon) and San Francisco (Anime Expo). As for cons closer to us, Anime North is in Toronto, Canada and Anime Central is in Rosemount, Illinois.

true, the size of the con does not determine enjoyment, i was just saying its not as flashy, exciting and otaku filled as youma con.
still fun though of course.

wait, anime central is in rosemount? i thought it was in chicago? is there two anime central's? (like theres new york comic con and motor city comic con?)

dont forget sakura con and yaoi con in california. sakura con was the first con i ever heard of. back in 8th grade kitsune miku and i dreamed of going to that once we got out of high school. then we learned about youma con. sai and i plan on going on a road trip to cali to go to yaoi con once i graduate. we're going to drag kitsune with us too if she likes it or not >:3

Rosemount and Chicago are very close together, so much that you can almost consider Anime Central in Chicago, but you get off on the turn for Rosemount. And there's only one Anime Central, as far as I know.

The guy who runs the other anime meeting I go to, Jeff, goes to Comic Con. He said that last year there wasn't a lot of anime/manga stuff.

oh okay that makes more sense. and apparently there is another anime central in canada. but that isnt called acen at all.

yeah comic con wasnt very anime filled. i was to surprised though. there were only a handful of anime cosplayers. but i hear they're getting more anime stuff each year. and its still fun just to be surrounded by the buzz of a con -^_^-

im going to see kakashi-san and saso-chan while im there so im extremely excited.

I don't know if I am going to any cons, but maybe Youmacon since it is close.
