i really think there should be more of a difference between new and old messages.

recently i accidentally deleted an important message due to the fact that the subtle difference in hyperlink colors didn't make enough of an impression. i think having an old and new message box, bolding new messages, or something else to that effect might do a great deal of good.

or having the messages sent to our e-mails in the notice have a transcript, or whatever a second copy of the message here would be, if messages were backed up in my e-mail i'd have a harder time causing myself the inconvenience i have.

i really hope you take this request to heart.

only prob. with that is that we are using a template site, not a custom one...

i havent seen the codeing of the site but unless there was a template of a new mesage system it would be very difficult to do....

Yoshi's right in that this is a template site for the most part so it's a little harder for me to do myself, but there are a lot of phpbb mods out there; there might be one for modifying the message system that someone has already made up (so I can use their code). I'll take a look around and see if I can find anything.

i myself havent had any problems with the mailing thing, but i know where JD is coming from. (actually it was my message he accidently deleted, lolz)
is there a way to make the bubble things different colors? like new messages stay yellow but read ones could be black or whatever.

sorry, i figured it would be that level of problem and if my suggestions really would work, as simple as they are, that they'd already be implemented.

so i suppose i can only ask that if there is any way to make the difference between new and old more drastic i'd ask you employ it, but once again i'm guessing you did all you could, correct?

I haven't found a mod yet to be able to do what you're asking, but I'll keep looking. Also, in January we are looking at the possibility of either creating a custom animanga site or doing some more serious tweaking of this one. I've been talking it over with our IT people who are a little better equiped to helped us create what we want. Either way, hopefully then we will be able to address some of the issues and features we would like to have/change. I'll add your suggestion to the list. It's a good idea.
