Yaoi/BL/Shounen-ai fan anybody??

Alright, time for me to go into teacher mode (I don't get to do this a lot).

Ehem.

"Doujinshi" is the term coined for Japanese "fan comics" that are either posted on to the Internet or sold at conventions. Most prominently, doujinshi feature romances that have not happened officially in the manga or anime (SasukeNaruto is a common pairing), or events that the creator(s) wish would happen (for example, Aeris coming back to life).

Most doujinshi are created by numerous illustrators, inkers, and scriptwriters. These groups are called "Doujinshi circles" and use pseudonyms on their books that relate to their common manga (or anime). For instance, one of the largest producers of Kingdom Hearts Riku x Sora doujinshis is a group of 5 (maybe six?) women, and the circle is called "RS".

Most doujinshis are sold at Comiket, which is Japan's largest comic convention ('Comiket' stands for 'Comic Market'). In fact, over the span of the three days Comiket takes place, the second day is dedicated entirely to Doujinshi and Yaoi titles.

Yuri is...not my cup of tea. I like Shoujo-ai more. I'm a girl, though, so I guess I'd enjoy guys doing it more than girls (meh).

i know a few guys who dont mind it, but i really dont know any guys who are like "yay yaoi!!! c'mon girls lets go shopping!!! XD"

no yoshi isnt a yaoi fanboy at all, he goes insane for yuir though, especially with hinata. but i force him to deal with some yaoi, i usually torchure straight guys with yaoi goodness.

yuri doesnt effect me, i mean some things are hot but its like...im not bi or anything, i have no sexual intrest in girls but ill do anything with a girl (thats not sexual) like kissing or whatever for cosplay or if its a dare or whatever. and i do act lesbian ish alot but thats me just joking around. im pretty indifferent to yuri, but i looooooooovvvveeee yaoi X3

Is anyone a fan of, or has at least heard of, Shouta? It's supposedly the "other" side of BL. If anyone cares, I'll explain it later.

i dont want what i typed to turn into a link ^^0 but its a yaoi site with hardcore and soft, it has everything, it just depends on what pixie posts. but its all anime and alot of it is from naruto or bleach or kingdom hearts and other animes. he did a all deaht note post once or twice, it was awesome X3

But on another note -- I just discovered Loveholic by Toko Kawai in our manga section. It's a Yaoi Manga. WHOA WAIT! OAO I didn't know we had yaoi at our library! And then, a few titles down, there was LOVELESS! O_O

Are there any more at our library!? I was freaking out!! I took the book off the shelf to see what it was cause I had never seen it there before [*read almost all the series in the manga section =_=;; ] and then at the bottom of the cover it said YAOI MANGA.

yeah, i was shocked too when i saw lovholic there. and sorry, miku recently took most of the loveless manga, shes gonna let me barrow them before she turns them in X3

i cant check out any books right now cause one of my friends racked up a huge fine when she checked out a couple things on my library card and didnt return them for the longest time, and now she cant pay it off, unfortuantly neither can i.....but thats the first thing im going to do when i get paid

and shota doesnt have to be older/younger. it could be two young kids too, and its not restricted to just yaoi.

i dont really go looking for shota, see the website i like the most, he just posts random things. so i just look at whatever he posts (which reminds me i need to check if he updated yet....) i only go looking for stuff if i want a particular pair or i hear of a good yaoi anime title. sensitive pornograph is really good, hard to find though. it was on youtube but last i knew those videos were taken off

I love shouta. Not the hardcore stuff so much, but the softcore can be so cuuuute. Actually, I visit some deviantART user's website (forgot the username, haven't checked in a while) and they have everything from softcore shouta to hardcore Yaoi. Not to mention the art is super pretty~

Yeah, I've heard of it, but I've only watched the anime, which I thought was pretty good. I've always wanted to read the manga, but I didn't much like the character designs. I do, however, own another one of Maki Murakami's series: Gamerz Heaven. Unfortunately, only two out of four volumes were ever released here in the states.

Gravitation is good. Read or watch it either way.

my friend had me watch gravitation, it wasnt what i thought. hell i think thet only kissed once, but yes, definutly yaoi. but on the website i go to occasionally pixie posts a gravitation comic, and its really freaking graphic. i didnt even know it was gravitation until shuichi said "yuik...*moan*" ...then i looked at the title and i was like "ooooh....im a dumbass...."

huh never thought of loveless as shota, never really crossed my mind. my friend is gonna let me barrow 3-7 ^^ is there only 7 books?

Neko, the Gravitation comics you saw were probably the Gravitation Remix series, which is basically a hardcore version of Gravitation. Ah, supposedly there's more than seven books of Loveless, after all, the series is still being continuously serialized in the Japanese manga magazine Zerosum, and volume eights due out in September...

Yeah, Loveless is shouta. Just not 'hardcore' shouta. After all, Ritsuka is 12 and Soubi's 20 something...
